Who I am
Hey, I’m Yeşim, who loves adventure and writing. I think many things can describe me. I studied political science and international relations at Istanbul University. After that, I worked as a journalist, content writer, and content editor in different companies. Then in 2013, I started my own business as a freelancer. I’ve been working as a freelance content writer for 9 years. In addition, I’m also a fire & led performer.
Who’re these Laz people?
I was born in 1989 in a small town in Turkey called Arhavi (in Artvin). It’s on the east of the Black Sea, so we’re neighbors of Georgia. If you visit Turkey, you should see this region. It’s as green as the Amazon. You’ll love it! And there live mainly Laz people. Are you whimpering now, “Who’re these Laz people?”
The Laz (or Lazi) people are an indigenous ethnic group living mainly in eastern Turkey and Georgia on the Black Sea. We speak the Laz language (Lazuri), a member of the Kartvelian language family. Unfortunately, our language is classified as endangered by UNESCO.
My writing journey?
When I was a kid, I loved to read colorful magazines, and I wanted to write like those. Time has changed, the digital world has started, and blogs have become popular. When I first started publishing my articles on blogs, I tried to make up for that time by learning. All those efforts in my youth laid the foundation for my content writing skills today.
I produced my first content at the age of 12. I’ve been writing professionally for 10 years now. However, writing is one part of my skill set that makes me happy. Over the years, I’ve discovered that I’m a well-rounded person. I improve myself in many areas, such as circus arts or social media. Don’t be afraid of this diverse curiosity because all this has given me different skills. For example, I can find effective solutions from a different angle. Now, fire dance is my biggest motivation even for my writing career. Never give up. Some learn a skill in 5 practices, others in 20. That means the moment I think I can’t do it, I remember that motivation. And I can keep going.
All the successes and failures have made me who I’m today. They’ve helped me be a disciplined, harmonious, and hardworking person. And fun, too.
My niches
Sure, some topics motivate me more to research and write about them, such as sustainable living, ecology, travel, content writing, and creative writing.
Currently, I’m curious about NFT and metaverse topics. You’ll find articles about these topics in the near future.

Why do I work as a freelancer?
I’m glad that I can organize my work schedule and choose my “today’s office”. Working in a different place that offers a great view motivates me to work more.
Also, I don’t like spending my time in traffic. I can use that time for more valuable things. So, freelancing is just the right thing for me. I’ve been successfully working with many companies for 9 years.
Being digital nomad
My husband and I live in Antalya (one of the most beautiful cities in Turkey) and often travel around Turkey in our 1997 model van. We also love camping and going to festivals.
As you can see, just sitting in one place isn’t suitable for me. Waking up every day with a different wonderful view makes me move on with life. Seeing the sunset and sunrise from a different place every day inspires me.
My flow art journey
I used to organize psychedelic parties and festivals with my friends to bring talented artists to Turkey. In this time that I became interested in juggling. Who can resist this incredible art? Maybe, you can see me dancing around the world with my fire.
